Why is the “MOM” event being hosted?

In June of 2024, a group of 64 parishioners from St. Angela embarked on a life changing pilgrimage to Medjugorje.  Upon returning home, we felt called to share our stories and we wished everyone could visit this remote village in Bosnia & Herzegovina.  We wanted as many people as possible to have a taste of the peace and love of “Gospa”, the locals’ name for Our Lady.  It is our hope that this event will allow everyone in the community an opportunity to experience the spiritual essence of Medjugorje without leaving the comforts of home.

 

How will “MOM” work?

This day is a GIFT from the Blessed Mother and as such, there is NO COST to attend.  The registration link for the event will be found at the top of this page. The day will consist of:

• Testimonies from pilgrims

• Special Guest Speaker: Judith Weible of Weible Columns

• Stations of the Cross

• Confession

• Rosary

• Mass

• Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

• and more. 

• Coffee and pastries will be served in the morning and a grab-and-go lunch will be provided. 

• “Good Will / Love Offerings” will be accepted.   

 

Where will the event take place?

The day will begin in the gymnasium of St. Angela Merici.  The gym entrance is located at  2051 Pomona St.  Several areas around campus will be transformed for you to sight-see, reflect, and pray.   A map of the layout will be given on the day of the event.

• 8:30 am - 6:30 pm

• While you are free to come and go as you wish, to get the full experience we highly recommend that you stay for the entire day.
